Watched Captain America Civil War last night. No idea how it is getting any better a score than 5.5 out of 10 (it's currently 8.4 out of 10 on IMDB), the movie is so boring I actually got distracted browsing the internet during watching it and lost any idea of what was going on. Far more importantly, I really didn't care in the slightest that I didn't know what was going on, the characters are neither interesting nor compelling. I just didn't care one iota. A recent brand new low budget Steven Seagal movie I watched was actually more interesting and watchable than this turd of a movie.
These superhero movies are beginning to remind me a lot of Lord of the Rings, Star Trek et al which also became turgid, boring and pointless affairs towards the end. The writers and actors just stop trying too hard, they've banked their cash and they're now just going through the motions. May this genre die off soon, so we get onto something more interesting.
